EDI 943 – WAREHOUSE STOCK TRANSFER SHIPMENT ADVICE
An EDI 943 Warehouse Stock Transfer Shipment Advice is an electronic data interchange (EDI) document used by manufacturers and distributors in communication with third-party or remote warehouses. It’s mainly used to notify a warehouse when products are being sent to their location.
EDI 943 – WAREHOUSE STOCK TRANSFER SHIPMENT ADVICE
EDI 944 Warehouse Stock Transfer Receipt Advice is an EDI document used by remote warehouses or third-party logistics companies (3PLs) to confirm the receipt of a shipment.
EDI 947 – WAREHOUSE INVENTORY ADJUSTMENT ADVICE
EDI 947, also known as a Warehouse Inventory Adjustment Advice, is an EDI document used primarily by Third-Party Logistics companies (3PLs) or remote warehouses. When a 3PL sees a change in inventory numbers or statuses, they can use EDI 947 to notify their clients of the change.
EDI 945 – WAREHOUSE SHIPPING ADVICE
Notification sent by a 3rd party warehouse or 3PL to notify a Supplier that a shipment has been made. It provides the information needed for the Supplier to reconcile the quantity shipped with the quantity ordered, create an invoice, and generate an 856 Advanced Shipment Notification (ASN).
EDI 940 – WAREHOUSE SHIPPING ORDER
An order sent by a Supplier to a 3rd party warehouse or 3PL to make a shipment to a Buyer (Retailer, Grocer, Distributor, etc.) or to a secondary location of the supplier. It can be for the same product to ship to multiple locations or specific cartons/product to ship to a single location.
EDI 997 – FUNCTIONAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
It serves as a response, or electronic receipt, to confirm the delivery of information. This document also reports any formatting errors or loss of data. It can be sent by any trading partner in response to an individual EDI message or a group of messages.
